Model 363 Excess Flow Check Valve

MGM model 363 Excess Flow Check Valve (3”) is AAR approved for use on railroad tank cars. Primary application is on a pressurized tank car cover plate assembly. Its purpose is to close and prevent the loss of product from the car should a valve above the flange fitting (e.g. the top loading valve) be sheared off during a rollover or other accident.

MGM model 363 Excess Flow Check Valves are float style with a removable seat and are welded to the inside of the cover plate under the liquid & vapor loading/unloading valves.

MGM model 363 Excess Flow Check Valves have been tested in accordance with PROC-10 MIL-STD 45662A and ANSI/ASME MFC-9M. Valve closing rates of 284 GPM of water (400 GPM of Propane) as tested in the vertical position.

Materials of construction include Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel or other exotic metals (please specify).
